Xander Apponi - Backend/CICD/Scribe
Academically, I am pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Iowa State. I work as an undergraduate research assistant in the computer science department, working political tweets and youtube ad collection for machine learning analysis. I also work full time as a Platform Engineer at Hy-Vee. I focus on Incident Response, Engineering Productivity, and Infrastructure. Outside of professional work, I enjoy playing the guitar, competing in triathlons, reading books, and searching for the next best cup of coffee.
Clint Lamar - Frontend/Animation
I'm a senior in Software Engineering at Iowa State. From the beginning, I've always prefered the software aspects of engineering over the hardware. This interest lead me to finding Iowa State's Cyber Defense Competition, and eventually learning Cyber Security on the side. I also currently have an internship at Procircular, a cyber-security company based out of Coralville, Iowa. Over the course of classes and this internship, I've become proficient in many different technologies, and more importantly, adaptable to even newer technologies. Other than work, I'm really interested in history, video games, and geography.
Helen Woldesenbet - Backend/Testing/CICD
I am a Senior in Software Engineering at Iowa State. I have experience in Big Data in which I developed a validation engine using Apache SPARK and Java. In addition, I have also worked with infrastructure tech stacks using scala. Outside of that, I have experience in using Node.js, Mongodb, building android applications, Distributed systems...etc. In this project, I am looking forward to working more with Vue.js, Node.js and CI/CD/Testing. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, watching netflix, and trying new places to eat.
Swechha Ghimire - Backend/Project Manager
Programming sparked my interest my senior year of high school after taking a course on Python and HTML. Ever since then, I've been passionate about programming and problem-solving. Currently, I am a rising senior at Iowa State University, and soon to be concurrent graduate student. I am majoring in software engineering with a minor in cybersecurity engineering. Chloe Sabado - Frontend/Testing
I'm a senior at Iowa State studying Computer Engineering. My interest in this major started in my senior year of high school after taking a AP comp sci class. Throughout my years here I got to experience working with both hardware and software development. As time went on I realized how much I loved working with software. I've been able to expand my knowledge with different tech stacks, learn better problem solving skills, and grow more passionate about software development. Aside from my academic life I really enjoy playing instruments, learning new languages, and experimenting with different types of art styles.
Jake Liebman - Frontend/Animation
I'm a Senior at Iowa State working in a Virtual Reality Lab and studying Software Engineering. I have a plethora of research experience which built skills in leadership, C# and Unity coding, physiology and teamwork. In addition, my coursework has strengthened my knowledge of Java, C++, MySQL, Unity3D and C. My key technological strength is being able to understand both the coding I'm writing and why it solves the larger problem. I'm a strong communicator and am effective at explaining technological solutions in broadly understandable terms.
Jared Schuckman - Backend/Analytics
I am a Senior in Computer Engineering at Iowa State. I have been able to complete two internships and a part time role. Through these roles along with coursework, I have gained experience working with Java, C, HTML/CSS/Javascript, Kotlin, SQL, OpenAPI, Swagger, Spring Boot, and Google Analytics. In this project, I am looking forward to working more with Google Analytics, Vue.js, and Node.js. In my free time, I enjoy biking, running, and playing video games.
